Quick Review – Studio West makeup line

Hey Guys,

I am so excited about this post. If you are from India, you very well would have heard about westside. I have been buying my clothes and shoes from them since forever. Last year, they came up with their own makeup line “Studio West”, and I was beyond excited about it. Westside has always delivered great quality at amazing prices, and same is the case with their makeup too. The range is huge, and includes foundations, powders, blushes, eyeshadows, liners, nailpaints and what not. They also have bath and body products, as well as fragrances. Phew! I came around trying a few products, and so far, I am in love.

I am planning on doing a video of full face of makeup using only their makeup. Oh, did I mention its super affordable! Before I got onto the video, I thought a post on my first impressions and quick thoughts on their products would be very helpful. Hope you like them as much as I do.

Price: Rs. 395

I saw 3 trios, out of which I bought 2. I am amazed at the pigmentation. They are all shimmery shades, very buttery and smooth in texture, and the colour payoff is oh so good. I do notice that they tend to fade a little upon blending, but just go ahead and layer it once more and you’re good to go. They easily stay for 5 hours on my oily eyelids without primer. They do have a little fallout, but that a given when the pigmentation is so insane. I will let the swatches do the talking.

Price: Rs. 425

I bought this blush in shade Plum Shine. I think they have 3-4 shades overall. This particular shade is amazing for medium to deeper skintones. It has that glowy finish. On looking closely you can see some glitter but it does not show up as chunky pieces on skin, instead it looks very glowy and youthful on the cheeks. I am in love with this product, I am using it almost everyday. It looks so flattering and pretty, I just can’t get over it. If you are willing to try one thing from this range, try this blush.

Lip Glosses:

Price: Rs. 395

I bought 2 shades, Spicy Sangria and Magical Mauve. I love my matte lips, but I really enjoy using nude and neutral glosses. I never liked bold lip colours with glossy finish, but I enjoy my nudes being glossy. When I saw their huge range of glosses, I immediately went towards neutrals. The gloss formula is good, it’s not super pigmented which makes me like it even more. I prefer my glosses not super pigmented. They do have a good shine. These particular shades do not have any glitter in them, but I did saw a few shades which had visible glitter. The gloss is not very sticky, which I am very pleased with.Β The packaging is sturdy and nice too. The only gripe I have is the mouth of the gloss tube. It is a little too small, and wipes off majority product when you pull out the wand. It barely retains any product on it, I have to go back into the tube for atleast 4 times to cover my entire lips. Besides that, I think these shades are great for every skin tone.

Overall, I am very impressed with this range, I am surely going back to try more stuff from them. If you are looking for good makeup at affordable prices, Studio West range is an amazing option.
