If you have been on my blog or on my YouTube channel, you know the highlighter junkie that I am. With no shame whatsoever, I bought another one recently. The brand makeup revolution London has been surprising me lately, with its amazing products at affordable prices. Their contour palette is one my must haves. Buying their highlighter was a no brainer for me. How did it fare me? Read on to find out.

What company says: Brighten and highlight your face with this Pro Illuminate. By adding a subtle glow this creates a natural touch of illumination throughout the year. Using a powder brush, swipe against areas of the face to add highlight.

Price for Qty.: Rs. 850 for 16 gms pan

Product & Texture: It’s a pressed powder highlighter with gold undertones. Suitable for all kind of skin tones.

What I have to say: Before I get to review the quality of the product, let’s talk about the quantity first. The pan of this highlighter is HUGE!! When my package first arrived and I took a look at the pan, I was blown away. Here I was thinking I got a product for good price, but no, this product is GREAT for the price. It has become one of my top favorite highlighters. The color is mostly towards gold, but not the yellow kind of gold, more like champagne gold. The undertone is mostly neutral, leaning towards warm. The formula is amazing. It’s very buttery, very pigmented and so easily blendable. When I first swatched it on my finger, I was amazed by the pay off.

It does not feel powdery at all, I would say it stands amidst all those high end highlighter, with its head held high. I am so glad I bought this one. The packaging is of plastic, but doesn’t feel flimsy at all, it is slim and easily goes into my makeup bag. As I mention, the pan size is huge, so this is going to last me for ages. Let’s be real, I am never going to hit pan on any of my highlighters, but let’s just say I had only this one with me, I would still not hit pan on it for a really long time. Once applied, I can see the glow on my face even after 8 hours of application. I love to use it on my inner corners and brow bone as well.

It does not feel chunky at all, the powder is very finely milled, and it does not emphasize my pores or texture either. I am totally in love with this product, and highly recommend it to everyone.

Summing up the Pros and Cons.

You’ll heart it coz:

  • Super pigmented
  • Very buttery and blendable
  • No chunky shimmer, finely milled
  • Lasts for a good 7-8 hours
  • The pan is huuuge
  • Affordable

You might hate it coz:

  • Can’t think of any cons

How does it compare to mary lou manizer? Is it as good as mary lou in texture and pigmentation? Also does it emphasize skin texture?

    • Sakshi Tewari

It is not as vibrant as Mary Lou, but is quite smooth in texture. It does not have any glitter to it, hence does not emphasize the texture too much. Hope that helps 🙂
