I am a huge fan of neutral lip glosses. Mostly, for bright colours I gravitate towards matte formula, but for nudes, I prefer gloss (does that even sound right?!) L’Oreal lately came up with their Cannes collection, as they do every year around this time, and launched 7 colours of glosses in 2 varieties, Cream and Dazzle. Now, I hate glosses with shimmer, because I have always noticed the shimmer moves around the face throughout the day and that is not cute. So when I went out to check out the shades, shade 110 was a no brainer. Its nude, its neutral and its creamy……plus no shimmer! Easily sounds like something everyone will love, did I love it too? Read on to find out.
What company says: Our No Compromise gloss is here. The formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid and shine colour pigments, leaving lips hydrated with a high level of shine. Enjoy a glossy look, without stickiness. The lip shaper applicator contours and hugs lips for a perfect glossy pout, all day.

Product & Texture: It’s a cream lip gloss, with no shimmer. Packed in a tube with a bent doe foot applicator. The texture is smooth, very slightly sticky but glides very easily without being patchy.
What I have to say: I have been obsessed with nude glosses lately. My skin has been in a little breakout phase so I am giving it a break from makeup. But we aint steppin put without them brows and gloss slapped on our face. On a face without any makeup, I think nude glosses add some sharpness, in a good way. They make you look a little more put together, like a good eyebrow does J This particular range by L’Oreal, I can tell will be loved by many. Reason being, they cover almost all range, they have nudes, bolds, cream and shimmer. If you like shimmer, they have them too, if only there were more colors. Anyhoo, the color I went for, I got the power, is probably one of the best nude glosses I own, and that’s saying a lot cause I have a butt load of nude glosses.
The formula is pretty non sticky, it’s not fully non sticky though, but being a gloss a little stickiness only helps it to stay longer. It won’t go patchy when you apply it, it spreads smoothly and has the right amount of pigmentation. I don’t like my glosses to be super pigmented, instead I like them better if they are super glossy. This one is quite shiny, but sans the shimmer. The color is a perfect warm nude, it will work great on any skin type. It has more peachy brown undertones than pink. If you prefer your nudes pinker, you may want to check out another shade in this range, called “109 Fight for it”! It lasts almost 3 hours on me, with a lip liner, which is great for a nude lip gloss. The packaging is pretty cool, it looks and feels sturdy, and the simple tube makes it look classy. I am glad they went with black caps, I for some reason hate silver or gold caps (I know, weird).
Coming onto the most interesting part, the wand. At first look, it looks like a crooked doe foot applicator, but it is strategically bent so (no, you don’t have a damaged piece). The applicator has kind of a cup formation that holds the product, and the end is quite pointy so that one can line the lips nice and precise. Funky to look at, this applicator is actually very useful. I can apply my gloss sharply, and because the dent holds some product, I don’t have to go back in the tube twice to cover all my lips. Thumbs up for that.
I am really enjoying using it these days, and so far, I don’t have any complains.
