Forest Essentials Saundarya Radiance Cream – Review

Hey Guys, I am kicking off my “7 days of skincare” today. For the next 7 days, I will review one product from my current skin care regime and talk about how it worked for me. Today, I am going to talk about my current day cream from Forest essentials, Soundarya radiance cream.

Skincare is something I am very passionate about. If I were to chose between makeup and skincare, I will probably choose skincare. I also believe skincare is NOT only using products on the surface, but it is taking care of yourself from within.

I also would like to clarify, the products that I use are few affordable and few are expensive, but I don’t advocate buying any product just because it is high end. Luxury prices do not guarantee performance. You need to understand your skin and find the products that will meet the needs.

I will cover all pros and cons, but do leave me a comment if you have any open questions.

What I think:

Soundarya radiance cream is touted to be one of the best products from forest essentials. The product is a pale yellow, rich and very hydrating, semi thick cream. It is made of all natural ingredients, which do not irritate my sensitive skin and is very moisturising on my skin, without being sticky.

It has an SPF 25 which is always a bonus in day creams. Although, if you are stepping out, I would recommend adding some more SPF to your skin, SPF 25 is not enough in my opinion.

I have been using this one for almost 3 months, and it’ll last me another month or so. You need very little amount, it spreads beautifully and is absorbed nicely into the skin. It does have a ayurvedic sort of smell to it, but it does not linger. It blends nicely on the skin, and even with the SPF, it does not give any white cast on the skin. It leaves almost a glistening effect on the skin when freshly applied, making my skin look glowy and dewy.

The packaging is very luxurious looking, but it is bulky. I am not the biggest fan of tubs, I find them unhygenic. Although, it does come with a spatula to take the product out, but I keep losing it and I don’t find it convenient anyway. The tubs are made of plastic, so you can travel with it without worry, but the jar is big so it will take a lot of space.

Coming to the effects of this cream. Ever since I have been using it, I feel like my skin has been looking brighter through the day. It sits wonderfully underneath all the makeup. I do see the brightening effect and I love that it is all natural. It makes my skin really soft and plump, and I don’t feel any stretchiness in my skin throughout the day. It is also said to have anti aging properties but to be honest, I have not really seen any firming action going on.

I love that it hydrates my skin well, but I don’t find it ground breaking. For the price, I am left wanting for more. Also, if you have oily skin, I am not sure this one is meant for you.

My skin is very sensitive and very dry, so I do appreciate it not irritating my skin and keeping it hydrated through the day. Will I buy it again though? Probably not. I love the cream, but I think I have used day creams with similar performance for a much lesser price.
